- Wood Framing/Finishing, Drywall
- Any or all construction experience will be helpful in becoming the successful candidate for this position
Salary:
$16-20 per hour
BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY: Works as a team crew member of a wood/post frame erection crew.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Follows directions from the Crew Foreman in the inspection of blue prints, and/or plans and site conditions to verify conformance to specifications and
- assist in the setup of equipment, squaring, layouts and the construction of various types of agricultural, equine, commercial and industrial post frame buildings
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of construction practices and procedures.
- Suggests changes to your immediate supervisor of working conditions and the use of equipment to increase efficiency of plant, department, or construction crew.
- Inspect and/or inventory building materials as directed by crew foreman.
- Learns to perform all activities of crew personnel positions.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Some of the physical requirements will be, but not limited to, the following:
- Climbing up and down on step ladders, extension ladders, and building framing;
- Regularly lift heavy materials
- Operate power tools and equipment (training will be provided).
WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Outside weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
