What are you using the farm shop for?

Building #1 (Valleyridge Farms) is a 60’ x 100’ x 20’ insulated, heated workshop built with Perma-Column concrete posts. The building has two 26’ x 18’ overhead doors with electric operators in the end walls, one 14’ x 14’ sunshine door in the sidewall and four walk-in doors.

It has an office and a washroom as well as an upstairs with a storage room. It will be used primarily for maintenance of agriculture equipment and as such, has a concrete floor with a drain.

How are you using the machine shed?

Building #2 (Donjo Farms) is a 60’ x 120’ x 20’ cold storage farm equipment shed also built with Perma-Column concrete posts. It is used to protect farm machinery from the weather and ensure that valuable equipment lasts longer and retains its value.

The building has two 45’ x 20’ bi-fold doors in the end walls and two walk-in doors. A ridge light runs the length of the building.

Did you design them with specific uses in mind?

“Yes, we designed the buildings to meet our specific needs, as we did not have a large space to work on equipment, as sizes are getting larger. We also needed more space to store and protect our equipment from the elements.”

Can you offer tips for potential buyers when designing their building?

“Yes, think about the size of equipment that you currently use and could possibly use in the future. Go visit other similar operations with new shops and sheds to get ideas. Take your time and be sure to build something exactly what you want. The sales staff at Integrity Post greatly assisted us in the planning.”
